why do you have to put in a sleeve??The factory cylinder want hold any larger one...I looked at both..Has anyone just tryed to bored it and run it??thx in advance ,give a lesson in schooling..LOL

biggest you can go on a stock cylinder is a 426, you have to press out the old sleeve, have your cylinder bored for the new sleeve, the bore the sleeve for the 440

I no what they say you have to do,but if you look at a stock cylinder theres not much room from the end of it to the studs..Can't be much bigger...I no the 426 is the larest,they say I built one a few years back...thx for the reply keep them coming..Someone do some measuring..

I think technically you could bore to a 440, but the cylinder would be so thin it would over heat. mine is bored just to a 416 and the cylinder wall is pretty thin at that bore.

exactly, if you bore the stock sleeve to a 440, it would be so thin that it would heat up fast and crack. Ruining your cylinder.
