Finally got my slip-on for the Outlaw and put it on today. I tried to get a weight difference but the scale quit working after weighing the HMF. It weighed in at 5.5 lbs and is a hell of a lot lighter than the beast that came off of that thing!

Nice looking pipe! I've been thinking about one of those for my Outlaw. Is it alot louder? Any noticable power difference?

I have not had a chance to get out and ride it, have not even jetted it for that matter, but at idle, it is no different than the ebay end capped satock pipe. Revving it didnt seem any different either but then again, that was in my garage....

ya it really looks good in the black finish, "is you exhaust just the sport with the Vector turn down or Ballance addition"?

Can you take a pic of where the new pipe mates up to the header itself. I'm trying to figure out if hmf sent me the wrong pipe or they just forgot to expand the pipe where it connects to the head because there is no way to make this pipe mate to the header.

Mine slid right onto the header just like the stock setup did. It is about 1/8" away from the little bump stop on the header, maybe evel leess, possibly 1/16". So, if you can't even get it to slide onto the header, you may have an issue. Mine fit perfectly!

I should have a pic at home already but I never uploaded it to the web. I will see about doing that tonight for you when I get home from work.

when reving up the outlaw 525 with your HMF Exhaust does it sound like this

OR THISE
http://youtube.com/watch?v=zWuWdQVwjiY
(And if you can post the video on youtube.com, the reason is i want a exhaust thats really strong sounding like both video and your HMF looks great and if it sound like either i'm going ahead and buying it.)

I would say it is more like the second one. The oval exhaust is much smaller that the round can that they sell so it does not have as deep of a thump, especially at idle. When you ref the HMF, they almost all sound the same. It does sound good though. I have mentioned it on other sites but didn't here, the HMF is actually not as loud as the stock exhaust with the aluminum e-bay endcap on it. My brother noticed right away that it was quieter before he noticed that I changed out the pipe. It sounds mean but is not obnoxiously loud. If you go with the round can instead of the oval, it may produce a deeper thump at idle. It is a great buy @ $227 from Leesons Motors on e-bay! Call them directly @ 304-842-5469 and ask to talk to the people who run the e-bay store. Ask them about the "build your own" HMF slip-on that they had on e-bay where you could choose one of the hard annodized endcaps instead of the standard endcap and it was no charge (Unlike me, I paid for the endcap). Here is their site:
