that thing must weigh like 50+ pounds...each. I got 2 12's in a box that fits underneath my back truck seat, and i have trouble moving that around.

weighed in at 35.9 lbs. and im gunna run two 1200 watt amps. but to break them in im just gunna run a 2 cahnnel 260 for the 1st 20 hours.

If you don't mind me asking.. How much did those two subs cost?

-Martin

Which 450?
11-16-2007, 02:32 PM
Hmm you made me realize I have a decent set of subs and an amp in my basement.... I took it out of my s-10 when I sold it, never set it up in my new truck

ny300exrider
11-16-2007, 02:33 PM
so you ended up building a new box? sealed or ported?

those subs look nice....should beat pretty hard if set up right. im trying to trade my truck for a car...if it happens there will definitly be some 15's in the trunk

there are no vents at all? if so you might want to change that 15s build up pressure quick and you'll pop one or maybe both

Is actually safer and tighter sound with a sealed box. Your less likely to blow a speaker sealed.

A ported box has to be design specifically for the speaker, if its not the right cubic " you will be blowing subs everyother week.

Im sorry elite, and this is a personall opinion...but why in the name of holy hell would you put so much nice audio equipment in such an old car. Especially a cavalier!

Maybe its just me, but thats like giving an 80 year old woman a boob job:huh

I had a 94 Cavalier with 15's in it. Well six Ground Zero 15's to be exact. With 3 MMATS D1200's.

And then I had a 98 Cavalier with twelve JL W3 12's in it with 4 MMATS D1200's.

And if that wasn't enough I bought a little 4 door Dodge Shadow for 150 bucks and put two Treo 18's in it with 8 Crossfire 1200D's and 10 Batteries and 2 Alternators and got invited the the DB Drag World Finals and didn't get to go cause the me and the shop that helped build the car tore the car down and could never get it to do anymore than 163 db's and for finals we needed to be at least 165.

Oh the money I wasted on that hobby...now I waste it on quads

I think it looks like it came from the factory like that except for the sparkles but i think it makes it pop....

comments welcome.
