VForce 3, CR250 or Rad valve reed assemblies?

I have one of each of the above listed reed cages. My V force 3 left me stranded (Broken petal jambed in the cage) 5 miles from camp at Glamis this weekend and I am wondering if this is common or a isolated incidence. I just got new reeds for it today and was wondering everyone's opinion on these. I can also just sell it and use one of the other cages.

was it CF reeds? for the dunes i'd think the VF3 would be the best cage.

Yes it was the older style CF reeds. The new ones I just got look to be alot tighter of a weave the the blocked out older ones.

Is your VF3 cage for a CR250 ? I have heard that for some reason that cage on an R motor causes the reeds to fail.

I have had a CR250 VF3 on my R motor now for a couple of months with no problems though.

I'm not sure what model it is for ... Duncan put it on there when they built up the motor for me. I guess I could call up Loren and find out.
