NO, the truck didn't show up at the dealer *&@^@^@!!

I am hoping for tomorrow. After waiting 3 weeks since I put my name on one I am getting VERY anxious. I have a pile of parts already here waiting to be installed and I am getting bored looking at them :-). If all goes well I will have it tomorrow, if not they said Monday at the latest.

Southern Honda is making it tougher to wait for the 08 as they just dropped their price on the new 2007s to $3999!! That is a heck of deal , but I have my heart set on an 08 and will wait no matter what. Ironically I was sitting here calling a dozen other dealers around my area to see if anyone had one.. First dealer that can supply gets my $$$.

Keep your fingers crossed for me tomorrow, and trust me you guys will be the first to see it once I get it home.

I also think my wife is getting tired of looking at my "art" exhibit in our sunroom :-)

IF it gets here tomorrow, it's gonna be a mad rush to get all of this stuff installed and wired up before we leave Sat AM for a weekend ride trip we have planned!!

awesome, i cant wait to see the pictures and what you think about it. I heard they did minor suspension adjustments, but not much. I wish i could adapt the new plastics to mine and put yfz headlights on it..

Yea that is a good deal. I just bought an 07 two weeks ago and I was able to talk them down to 4399. They had 2 08's on the lot.... But didn't want to fork out the cash..... Kinda wish I would have now.

The 08 is no different than the 07. Buy the 07 for cheaper and update the plastic and seat.

I'd be willing to buy a complete 07 plastic/seat setup.

..and the lighter clutch pull, suspension settings, 450R style front bumper, what looks to be a dual ram air system ??(see photo), and maybe other stuff unknown until someone gets one in hand. I have 3 different dealers saying they will have them. Since 2 of those are only getting one red each, I ain't gonna say. The other dealer said they have 4 red and 3 white/black on the truck.

I'm ex charlotte honda;). Quit about a year ago to go back to school. I personally would never buy anything there. 75% of what the sell is from auction (which is why they won't have one). Pretty much scratch and dents straight from honda. Then they sell them at normal prices making a *****load of money:ermm:

They best deals if u are willing to travel would be southern powersports (I think that's the name) in Chatanooga, TN and Mark 4 in Wythville, VA. No one in NC can touch their prices;)

Southern Honda is where I had a deal worked out for the last 3 weeks. Was promised I would have it on the 15th and told last friday they were shipping on the 12th and be there on the 14th. Was told the same thing every day this week.....and then finally admitted to me late yesterday that they haven't even been shipped to them yet. :-(

I agree on their prices, I bought my wife's 2007 250EX there 3 weeks ago for $2692.55 out the door and my secratary's son a 2007 CRF50F for $786.55 Out the door.

BUT, I found a local dealer that matched Southern's deal on the 08 400EX(yes you can beat or match Southern's prices sometimes) and swears they have a red one on a truck. Another TN dealer called Honda in front of me yesterday and was told they will have it next Wed.

My office staff spent the last 2 hours this afternoon calling every Honda Dealer in the 4 surrounding states (they are tired of me kicking things in the office) and we got stories ranging from "yeah we had 2 a few weeks ago, those things come and go fast" to "yes we will have one in a day or so", to "maybe next year" etc, etc.

I called Honda Corporate in Cal. this afternoon and was told NO dealers have received any (he checked the dealer "registrations" for the whole US).. and that they will not be released until the end of this month...

GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

Bottom line is I will get one... now I just don't know when that will be !! I have dealt with the local dealer before and they have never mislead me, so I am hoping that are correct about the one on the truck.. looks like I won't know until Monday.

Gonna have to ride my 07 Foreman this weekend and try to keep up with my wife on her 250EX :-) She smoked me bad in a drag race last weekend !!

I think it is offically called Obsesive Compulsive Behavior....I have learned to live with it... I think :-)

Near Linville Falls and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

The Power Steering is fantastic. I will never again buy a Utility quad without it. It also works like a steering damper which is nice in the rocks etc.

They also have 2007 450R Electirc Start for $5233. If only it had reverse I would have already bought one.

BTW, thier prices are OTD prices, no fees or BS. They do charge a "Business Tax" but it was only $9.55 on the 250EX.
