what's wrong with the swinger that you currently have?

it will work in your 88 frame. the only thing you'll need to do is make use of ta 86-87 rear engine mount that fills the gap where the swing bolt goes through or make a spacer (crush tube) so that the gap doesnt pull together when you tighten the swinger bolt.

so i should get the measurements and just put the spacer in between or should i weld it so it would look like an 88 stock swinger?

i would simply get a measurement (with the sealed crush sleeve washers in place) and make a spacer or locate (if you dont already have) an original rear engine mount and use that. you may or maynot have to lobb the top ears of it off. as they may interfere with the upper rear frame mounts already on the frame.

(just using this quote) the stock mount is exactly 4 inches wide. you could do the custom sleeve but I like the idea of using an old motor mount too, and just wack off the 4 ears and use just the sleeve.

btw, your swinger is an 86 model...so if you order a skidder, make sure its for an 86 cause they are year specific.
