It might be ok if it has a for-sale sign on it...

Otherwise save your cash and get a used 400ex. They are bulletproof.

it is all right. too heavy to really jump, hard to do wheelies, fast, but not really fast. a 400 is a great bike also, but as a first trail bike, a 300ex would be a bit better, depending on how old you are and what build you are.

a warrior would work, but for you, i would say a 400ex. and if you do decide to go with a warrior, i got one for sale.

They are a great trail bikes. Dont expect much from them as a MX bike but throw a pipe on it and hit the hills! I had a 87 with a DG pipe and it was no race bike but the thing was reliable and torque for miles. It was a wicked hill climber, great on the trails, and soaked up jumps like a cinderblock on wheels lol. Really for a good price it would be a great trail bike...and if your talking older 400ex's the warrior has one advantage...reverse, something that may come in handy on a "TRAIL" quad. Also they are pretty reliable. Ive also seem some nice wheelies done on a warrior so I dont think they are wheelie proof like stated previously.

i know that they arent wheelie proof, i just think that they arent exactly that easy to do on a warrior. i got a pipe on mine and it runs great.

really thats the point. a warrior is gonna be cheaper, and alot of fun. They handle nothing like a 400 but they provide great power, reliability, and reverse for a fair price. Compared to a bland powered 400ex with no reverse and a bigger price tag. In reality for me at least neither machine provides a speed seeking thrill but for bang for the buck on a trail the warrior is a great choice. Also who needs to be riding wheelies when they are dodging trees.

with your height, your going to be happier with a 400ex..

you should be able to find older ex's for around 2K.

I still have my warrior which I've owned since 14, I'm 6'8" now, being this tall, I've learned to adapt to riding just about anything

I've had more fun on my Warrior than I could ever think of having on the Cannondale that I owned, or any other quad I've ridden for that matter.

You guys will learn someday that it isn't always about whos the fastest, who can jump the farthest, etc. It's about having FUN! Which you certainly will on a Warrior.
