Hey guys i just wanted an opinion on the engine work i had done buy 1Dirracing...Its on my old Quadracer 250R.The bike is a real screamer.I still have it.He does 2 and 4 stroke motors and been doing it for almost 30 years.I am thinking about sending my 450r motor because to him and i have dealt with him in the past and was very happy..Take a look and tell me what you think!!!Any and all input will be appreciated

porting a 2 stroke and porting a four stroke is entirely two different things.

Good luck.

the pictures i see on that site look like just a port and no polish. polishing them makes less turbulance in flow therefore it flows better

if u were lookin at the intake side... u dont want to polish it.

yeah i heard of this but i wondered why turbulant air is better than free flowing if it were smooth. i guess turbulance makes it swirl or something

On the intake side you want it rough because it will create a better air fuel mixture.

and exhaust is smooth and has the shiny look so the carbon wont stick to the ports as much correct?

i think we are right, i want to get a port and polish done but i'm not sure if there is a port and polish to increase in all areas EX:low, mid, top end. anything that gives more HP in those areas than stock is what i want.

To my best knowledge I think it depedns on what other upgrades the motor has, but I think porting and polishing is a good all around upgrade, but I am sure there are others that will disagree.
