adjust(haren, soften, etc.) my rear shock(stock) to make my rear end slide out a little better or will adjusting it effect that at all. thanks.

In my experience Going wider will make the rear slide better. Adjusting the rear will just make you more comfortable. Try a wider axle or spacers if your not jumping or racing. Tires can also make the rear slide better.
