What are you guys using to cover the hole where the snorkel was if you remove it. Thanks for the help.

yea i did that same thing. just take a spray paint lid and put it in. fits perfect. but dont tell no1....racing secret

I tried a paint can lid and it didn't fit, I guess they are not universal. So I went through all my chemicals and found one that did. It was car polish lid.

remember u gotta run without a aibox lid now or else the engine wont get any air

i covered mine with a piece of panty hose, and used the factory clamp to hold it on. you should have seen the cashier lady at wal-mart.:eek:

Sorry for the dumb question but if you are running your air box lid off wouldn't you als get air coming from your snorcle also if you cover it up you will get less air right I dont' know just my 2 cents

i used to run it with a lid. then i put the block off on so you have to run it without a lid or else it wont get air. thats why i have to run it with no lid and that block off snorkle

i'm considering removing my snorkel too but what exactily is the advantage? Is it just to drop a pound off your quad and if so is it really worth it?

i kinda agree with atvmbaca i dont understand why you guys are removing your snorkles because it causes you to get less air by closing off anothe port for more air to get into the box. What is the advantage? Please somebody?

when running without a airbox lid is there any problems with getting water sucked in the carb? i like running in mud and its normaly the soupy stuff so it getts everywhere. :D

As I said before, cold air is better than hot air. The snorkle opening is right over the hot engine. Why would Honda put it there? But what do I know. The engine only needs so much air, so no lid is enough air. But than again why do people run without no box at all?
