06 camshaft holder removal

In the service manual it says I need a tension stopper to hook on to the cam chain tensioner lifter shaft. Do i really need this or can i get around it some how and use a different tool.

Just unbolt the whole tensioner and remove it.

Yup, unbolt it and slide it out.

Should I loosen the middle bolt or no?

the center bolt is a cover to the screw thats in the center of the tensioner that adjusts the chain just remove the whole thing and you will see hows it works

Just take the top and bottom bolt out and it will pop/slide out into ur hand.

The center bolt just covers the adjuster screw like said above.
