Countershaft bearing

I tore the 250X apart today to see what was leaking from behind the front sprocket. I removed the countershaft oil seal and it looks like there is a thin red rubber seal between the case and the bearing thats broke. Does this sound right?

In the parts diagram that seal doesnt show up. Is it part of the Bearing? Will I have to split the crankcase to fix this or is it possible to be fixed with everything still in place?:(

I cant believe no one can help me.

After looking at it again tonight it looks like there is a red rubber seal on the bearings that has ripped. Can anyone confirm this?!:confused:
