I just want to make sure I am not missing anything. Here is a picture of my carb. I circled where the fuel line goes in blue. What I am wondering, is there supposed to be any hoses on either one of the holes I circled in green?

Yes, each of those two nipples gets a hose. Some years didn't have the smaller of those two nipples--just the larger one. On yours, two short hoses connect to each nipple and then a Y connector joins them. Then the single hose goes up and over the top of the carb and slides in a black sleeve that holds the hose next to the hose that is present in your picture. I can see that black sleeve in your picture. The end of the hose you're missing just dangles down the far side of the carb--not connected to anything.

They are just vents. Your carb will work without the hoses in place but I wouldn't run it like that for long. Dirt and junk will get inside those nipples if left exposed and that will cause problems. You don't have to joint them with a Y connector if it's easier not to. Two separate hoses will work fine.

Oh really... Wow. Looks like the person I bought this from didnt put the hoses back on. I have ran it like that for about a year. Does anyone have a pic of a carb with the Y split hose?

circled in red is what you are missing.

circled in green part #26 is the little ring that hose #45 slides into. hose #42 and #41 are two different sizes. #42 is the small one towards the front of the carb.

got the pic from motosport's OEM section.
