ims gas cap

every time I take off my gass cap the rubber piece seperates from the cap? is this supposed to happen or do I need a new one? It shows both pieces disconnected in the picture so I am not sure but I Am assuming they should stay together and not seperate?

I went ahead and bought a TUSK one frome Rocky Mountain and it solved all y problems, leaks, poor seal, rubber pulling out etc.

I thought a cap for an IMS tank only fits IMS. I don't think a stock cap will work on an oversized tank.

I tried my friends 450r cap, and it worked with my 4 gallon IMS.

those caps are crap. if you ride in extreme conditions you can expect to get trash into the tank.
