Thats not an R engine. It's a CR500!! It was in a VERY old issue of 4 Wheel ATV Action. God thats a sweet machine.

I'm in the same delima,,I'm not sure if I want my frame to be done in black, silver vien or white..what do you guys think???

it now has a red swingarm on it,,everything else will stay the same.

I vote "Glossy Black"..I almost did the R black..but had too many other pcs already in black ..I was thinkin it would too much black..
My bud did his quad in Glossy Black & it looked great ..

negative,,I've got 2 sets of red plastic and everybody and their brother is goin to red frame and yeller plastic.. the plastic will stay stock red.

Hey bigbore, i thought you already PCed your crf frame? I am the one that sent you a money order for your old 400s stuff, can you tell me what color the frame is on that? It looks like black or gray in the pic on ebay...you should be getting the MO anytime now, thanks man

i did have it powdercoated yz blue but i thought with blue a-arms blue frame blue subframe and blue swing arm it was just to much BLUE!!!! so i sent it out and got it done white it looks pretty sick i like it alot really goes good with blue a-arms swingarm and subframe the plastic will be white with blue k and k graphics and a blue carbon fiber quadtech hood


the frame is a color called pearlized black it is almost black but has a grey tint to it it is a really sweet color its the same color lonestar uses on many of there frames

Powerwash it every race.. it will be koo, but after about 1/4 of the way threw the season make sure you clean it really nice with gas or that stuff in a bottle that takes away dirt and grease. Then your white frame will stay white. but I powerwashed Mine and I kept white for a while but then I started cleaning it every 1/4 of the way through the season and noticed it got dirtier and dirtier but you should be good if u powerwash it and after a while take her apart and clean her down. It actually when u powerwash slips right off the frame like nothing..

When I see a white frame I think of Legacy ATV. They do all their frames white. Heres my buddies 440 that he bought from them, it used to be nathan dallas's.

well i got my frame back and put blue a-arms and stuff on it and it looks pretty SICK!!! :-) i will post pics tomarrow

I may be weird, but I think white looks very ulgy and dull.
Any color but white! It looks a lil wussy too. Some quads can pull it off and look nice with a white frame (the legacy 400 and Nac's R pictured above), but not many.
Rico, If I were you, Id do it in silvervein, silvervein looks GREAT and wont show grease. I did alota Silvervein on my R, My "gloss black" frame will be done sometime this week. It should go good with my OEM plastics and CF scoop hood.
