that just happened to me. check your sproket hub/brake hub too
i have to replace the carrier (cracked) sproket hub, brake hub, and since my rotors bent and brake pads are totally disinagrated from the rotor those gotta be replaced too :( im missing tomarrows race becouse of this :( :(
yea we checked out some other things that we gotta replace. deff the rotor, then both front brake rotors, carrier/bearings, *hopefully axel is ok*, front and rear sprockets. Then im going and getting all new plastics, rear shock, possibly diff front shocks, precision stabilizer, Flexx bars, new gas tank, motor to rage or dasa, and hopefully pickin up a stock 05 or 06 honda for a practice quad. Hopefully will have all of this before March.

Its confusing. Like ive never riden any other type of shock before, other than stock, and these fox, so i cant really compare them to anything else, but they are just so time consuming. Unless you ride alot, and can test them untill they are perfect, they will get kind of old. IMO. I can only ride usually 2 to 3 times a week(if that) and the pressure changes with temp, so you always have to put more or less air in(which dosent take along time, but just gets old) and since they are adj by how much PSI is in them, you have a rang of 0-300psi. lol. I might have a chance to pick up some PEP PB1's for a good price, so those might be on for next season. I might be selling my evols if you are interested.

I wouldn't change from Fox if I was you. The air doesn't have to be checked every time you ride. Checking the air in shocks is no different than checking the air in your tires.

I've heard some bad stuff about Fox. A lot of body roll in XC. MX too. I'd say go with some nice PEP's.

tell you the truth, its been greased once since ive had it. Didnt know what the upkeep was on it, so me and my dad never messed with it. 3 years on it, and it finally happened. so iguess thast a pretty long time, lol. Now we know to maintain that alot more, so hopefully once we get it fixed, it wont happen again. Maybe my evols just need to be rebuilt for next season. They have had over 25 races on them, so im thinking its time.

Hey, just adding to this convo....but that big nut that you tighten down the carrier with.....on the predators, the guys found that if you over/under tighten that night, you will eat up bearings very quick!

What class you gonna run next year?
I'll be at every race...hopefully participating in a few if I'm lucky...I think that series is gonna get huge...the first round was amazing last year as far as the turnout so I only imagine it getting bigger.
