05 wont kick start

my 05 will not kick start unless the motor is warm if it is warm it will start normal but when cold it will not start unless you bump start it then it will start right away any guesses as to why (electrical, valves etc ???)

Id say its time to check your intake valves bro.

I agree, the valves are the problem. They either need adjustment or you might need a valve job.

Its probably the left side intake valve , its probley almost sittin on the cam. Check it out and let us know man.

trying bumping the gas three times, then kick it soft 3 times not trying to start it, then kick it like your trying to start it, works for my bike in the winter all the time

sometimes its hard to kick in the winter just cause its so freggin cold, but it wouldnt hurt gettin in there to check your valves, i know my valves were practically touching the cam, but that will never happen again, my dad was helping and showed me how to do it the wrong way, haha but now i know the right way
