can you run 20's or 22's instead of the stock 18's? because i'm looking into and ltr and i want a little more clearence than it already has. does it affect the power or do i have to change anything else like sprockets?

Of course you can change to a bigger tire/wheel but like you said ur gonna wanna mess with the gearing.

I put 20 inch rear tires on with a 13 tooth front sprocket & it works GREAT! Ray.

Im setting mine up for woods racing. Most people go w/ a 13T and 20s on the rear like suzukiray said. So when I went 1" bigger I thought I would drop another tooth.

I only have a 400ex, but if you want longer gears for trail riding how about you bump up the front sproket. My riding buddy that runs an ltR has 20's up back and a 15 sprocket up front.

When I changed to 20" rears,I kept the front sprocket standard(14 teeth).I do offroad racing (120km-200km) and try to keep the revs lower. Saying this,I found that the 13 sprocket gives you to much power- not so easy to keep the front wheels down and to much wheel spin.In rocky sections it is easier to controle with the standard sprockets and works perfect . I will not go for a 15 sprocket, the engine does not have enough torque (standard) to run in 5th and you will get less speed almost gauranteed.
