I have a 2001 400EX with a full Yoshimura RS3 exhaust. Long story short, one of the flanges on the headpipe that bolt to the head is tweaked a little (yes, it was my fault), so it will not tighten properly to seal up. I tried removing the exhaust, bending it back, new copper gaskets, studs, and nuts, but it still leaks out of one side because I cannot get it bent back true enough to apply pressure all the way around the end of the headpipe. I even tried putting a brass spacer behing the flange, but it did no good. Any thoughts? I have been battling this all season and I am ready to just throw in the towel and get a complete new exhaust.

I would take it off again and use an oxy-acetalene torch to heat it up and bend it straight.

its going to be hard to get that back into shape. you can find stock headers fairly cheep that way you get prefect fit.
