starting to race?

other then geting my bike ready what else do i need to do to race. I mean do i have to become a AMA member or what?

it depends on what track you race at. Some require AMA and are part of districts. Others are just local have have you just pay the fee to race and gate fee. Others have a small network of local races that you have to join into something similar to AMA. not sure if this help but i raced in a local network of races and didnt have to join AMA for those.
