I have a 300ex with aftermarket a-arms (+2 /+1 Forward. I was going to buy the upper shock relocation mount. I've been looking on ebay for used 400ex and 450r shocks. Which would be better: a set of Works Triple rate shocks (maybe with rezzies) for a 400ex or a set stock 450r piggback shocks? Thanks!

Or else you can spend a little bit of extra money and buy my pep zps shocks with 20 click rezzies set up for a 400ex with +2 a arms.

ive done a bunch research on shocks lately...... and i mean A BUNCH. from what i have read, 450r shocks arent worth it unless you get them revalved. apperently they are way to stiff and kinda throw off the geometry. works, not that great from what ive heard. some may say otherwise but thats their opinion. the cheapest set of good shocks i could find were the PEP race series(when i say good i mean with rezzies), $650.00, remote rezzie, triple rate springs, adjustable pre-load and damping. they reccomend them for play riding and "c" and "b" class ametuer(sp) racing. there has been a number of poeple that said the worst set of PEP's are still better than the best pair of works. you could also always look on ebay or in the for sale section forum, shocks normally go at a good price used.

This might sound dumb but where did yall find that price on the pep and tcs? Im debating on getting 450r revalves or just going straight aftermarket for xc. I cant make up my mind.:ermm:

if it was me i would go straight to aftermarket, they have more potential.
