Blowing Oil??

Ok, i have a '06 450r and the vent tube that goes into the side of the air box from the engine was lined down to the skid plate. And when ever i go riding a little bit of oil gets leaks out onto the skid plate. I just relined it up to the air box but havent had a chance to ride it yet and wanted some opinions. Thanx

hey,

well since its an 06 im doubting its your rings,


but it could be a couple of other things,

its possible your oil could be overfiled
if you recently overturned the quad
or sometimes on initial start up they will bypass a small amount of oil,


those are just some possibilities, like i said its probably not your rings unless you race or beat the piss out of it, if ya do , it wouldnt hurt to run a compression test

yeah its not my rings ive only ridden it like twice since i rebuilt it, i havent fliped it or nething, and the oil level looks fine, i think either gravity might have been a cause, but i rerouted the hose up to the airbox where it suppose to go and we'll see what happens, and its not a ton of oil either.. but thanks
