It felt like it had a slight bit more bottom than the DASA, but would fall flat on mid/top to top end.

they look halfway decent, but performance has something to be desired after the mid powerband

Ya they are a pure bottom end pipe.
Maybe its because of the small header?

Longer headers create more bottom end, so I couldn't see how this would be a bottem end biased pipe..
Shorter pipes are usually associated with drag racing and that means top end.

I meant smaller diameter header, not shorter.

a tc pipe works well with a tc motor, and the new tc pipe is a tiny bit quieter

I don't know about the db's, but I don't think tc sells the shorty anymore. You will probably have to find a used one if you want one.

i have heard decibal numbers in like the upper 115-120 from the tc but ive never seen a reading. And TC no longer makes the shorty, you can get a new generation tc pipe tho
