hey i am thinking about getting a banshee and i was wondering are banshee's any good in the snow?

any good brand of tires for snow or any mods that would make a banshee better in the snow?

any advice is apericated.

thanks.

I have only rode one shee in the snow but it did horribly in the snow. 2 strokes in general don't produce the traction that a 4 stroke will in any condition (too much wheel spin) A good set of 4 snows might make a huge difference though.

if you were to get a banshee, a set of 4 snows would be a necessity for any snow riding.

here on long island people wait all year to ride in the snow....once the streets get covered and the cars start to stay off, the quads and sleds come out and ride all
night.

i came across a kid on a piped shee last winter with 4 snows and i have to say i was pretty impressed....although i only rode past him, it seemed like he was keeping up fine with his 4 stroke riding buddies.

http://www.atvtiresale.com/maxxis-snow-atv-tires-p-66.html

those should get a banshee some traction as long as it is a reasonable amount of snow

I can kee up with my friends 440 sled with my paddle tires and front mohawk tires, but its only a 1989 yamaha phazer so its not saying a hell of alot

Another good site for anything you need, including tires is (www.rockymountainatv.com)

I personally do not recommend 4-snows. The side walls are too stiff and do not flex/expand enough to give you that added hight needed in the snow.

I live in Alaska, we ride snow a lot, get Ohtsu Pro Wedges.

If you have a good set of snow tires you will be fine. IMO stud them if possible. You will throw a rooster tail of ice with them:D

The bad thing about a shee in snow is when it gets deep. They are too low to the ground and get hung up easily.
