could of i screwed anything up?

ok well i have a 04 400ex my bro went to go ride it and noticed the chain was loose so he went to go tighten it up. he loosed all 4 of the bolts on the swing arm. and then something happened or what ever im not sure but he never tighted them back up or adj the chain. so today i went and hoped on it and started riping it down the dirt road by my house and i heard this loud clacking noise. which was the chain hitting the skid plate because it was so lose. my question is could have i damaged anything from those bolts being loose and the chain? the chain never rode over the sprockets or anything. thanxs steve

na adjust chain tighten allen bolts and test ride then doulbe check chain tension.

Tighten the chain, and just look over everything. Look at the case saver and make sure you didn't take a chunk out of that by chance. Sounds like you should be fine though.
