250r hood on a 400ex

I have a 250R hood laying around the garage that had been cracked and chipped. I used simple fiberglass and put it back together. Looks pimp but Needs the seperate fenders to bolt up correctly. I was wondering if anyone had put a hood like this on a 400ex?

That is nice, butI shoul dhave specified a quadtech scooped hood. The maier's are flexible enough they could fit. I was wondering if anyone has either cut their 400ex plastics in the middle like the 250R plastics and tried one?
