I am thinking about maybe putting in a high comp. piston in my R this winter and I was wondering can I go any higher than the stock 12:1 and still use pump fuel or no? I dont want to run race gas.

you can probably deck the head a little to get the comp to about 12.5:1, but really wouldnt be worth it.

Yeah I figured that. I wasnt sure if I could get away with a 12.8:1 or not. Oh well not a big deal just need to find another way to keep up with the yfzs around here.

First thing on my list. I am just waiting for them to be released for the 2008 ER since the decomp. was changed. Hotcams told me they hope to have them out this month.

yeah that really sucks how they did that. you can get a porting job done, maybe get your carb bore out some. like 43mm

Yeah I was thinking about porting and polishing and having the carb bored. I am hoping the cam will do what I need it to do but since my friend got word I am getting a new cam he has been saving up for a set himself for his yfz. Just cant stay ahead of him:blah:

Haha actually the fact that his tires are bald is one thing that helps me.

Contact Chad (chad502ex) from DRG. Heard nothing but good things about his work. When my money is right he'll be doing my 04' 450r or should i say 04' 470r!

dont be worried if he gets some new cams, the yfz cams are not very restricted like the 450r is.

Im not worried. I am the one who does all the work to his quad:D . I think when I get mine set up right he wont be able to keep me in sight. He likes to ride but not enough to put some serious money into it. Me....well its practically all I do now. After this winter I hope my quad is completely different as far as ride an power. I have big plans for it...

just send it to dasa or baldwin! haha but in all reality i would call up mark at baldwin, he makes some beastly honda motors. Just make sure you dont talk to the girl who answers the phone, sorta not helpful.
