need help jetting my 300ex badly.I have a fmf powercore4 muffler and pipe and K&N but every thing else stock. Ive been messing with the jetting for months and still cant get it right. It pops and sputters when u hold it at a constant speed. It sounds like it is heavily modified the way it spits and sputters. It runs ok when u get on it without any miss but just doesnt sound right when running the throttle steady. Should I be able to get it to run smooth or is that just something u have to live with when using a aftermarket pipe. I have the fmf jet kit and have tried every jet and needle posistion. It almost ran better with the stock jeting but its been so long ago i cant remember and I heard that u need to jet with aftermarket pipe or u could burn it up. Ive already seen looks like melted pellets of metal on the screen of the muffler but hoping its just because the muffler needs repacking because the packing is totaly gone. Please help. Thanks.
