I am always a fan of Glock pistols. Everything about them is a high quality gun and i dont think they can be beat.

Beretta 92FS is $600 on the Beretta website, might be able to find it for less at a gun store.

well ive had my Ruger p-95 for about 3yrs now and it still looks/works as new as the day i got it, i dont shoot very often these days (too busy ridin) but i was recently at a gun show showin it off and people kept tryin to trade me their shotguns and stuff so that was cool, all in all id recommend a ruger.
hope this helps somewhat

I agree man, I have a Beretta 92 and I love it. You want to talk about a smooth shooting gun, try out the Beretta. Glocks are definitely nice too, but shoot a lot differently. My suggestion to the OP is to go to a range and try out a bunch of rentals before you buy. The way a gun feels to a person can be very subjective; trying out a variety of them will help you make the best choice IMO.

what are you getting the pistol for? If it is for defense i would suggest getting somthing with a little more knock down power. Yes a 9 would hurt to get shot with, but there are plenty more powerful choices out there. If i have to shoot someone I dont want them to keep coming at me. It is your choice though. I have a sig .45 and love it.

I pay Glock the ultimate compliment, I stake my life on it everyday. Remember if can't knock them out ,Glock them out!
