Hi, I was looking to see what +3 long travel front end set-up some of you are running. I am interested in the Janssen +3 and maybe some custom axis as a set-up. Has anyone had any experience with the Janssen a-arms particularly? Or with Custom axis shocks? Or what +3 long travel front end would you recommend and what shocks to go along with them? Any pictures of front end +3 set-ups would help too. I see a lot of the trx450r's on here I see are running gibson a-arms but different kind of shocks. I like Gibsons but dont like the fact that you cannot adjust the Caster/camber. Thanks.

Thanks for that link. By talk to him what do you mean? He is running the Janssen arms but he is running piggyback axis, I would get the remote res.

gibsons are fully adjustable. you set them up with the heims on the upper a arms by the frame and you can set camber and castor.

as for janssens, i never seen a broken one, and i hear they have an awsome warrenty so i dont think you would have a problem with them

I didnt think that the Gibsons were fully adjustable like that. What happens if you run a 3-2 offset wheel on +3 a-arms and your a little over fifty inches, will it handle bad?

no. ppl will argue with that and say 4-1s will handle better, but i have 4-1s and ive rode numerous +3 front ends with 3-2 rims and i couldnt feel a difference

Heres a pic of my +3 SMCs with 3-2 Douglas wheels
I never notice any difference with 3-2 or 4-1 wheels, if anything I like the 3-2's better because the bikes that much wider =)

And yes Gibson a-arms are fully adjustable.
