Maximm RPM has some nice aluminum cylinders already to go if you didn't want to get it ported

We have a guy in FL that is not on the National map yet, but his 90 is the fastest I have seen in FL...

PM me if you want his contact info

There are a bunch of engine builders.

Then there are a few that build race proven engines.....

I totally agree with you Rich. In the twenty years that I have been playing with two strokes I ve seen some pretty amazing garbage come from guys that say they can build a motor or have the new great idea that will kick everyones butt.

Don't know if it will help you out or not Jason, but I'm going with Billy Holt this year. I have only heard great stuff about his work. Plus somebody I trust very much gives him the stamp of approval....

I just want to say that you shouldn't always believe what you see on the net. Talk to others who have work done and let that be the story.

Send a PM my way if you would like some info. Out of respect I wish not to talk on the open forum about one builder over another.

Jim did Brandon race at Atco if so how many 50 showed up.
You should have gone to raceway park we had a great turnout of 50s. Dale also raced 2 lc 08 drx's and was faster then both of these also. Thanks also to Cory at koolkidzatv.

So then I have a question. Are you saying that your ported AC 50's beat stock LC 50's?

We did not attend e-town because of atco's policy that you have to attend half of the race's offered to attend the championship banquet which is our goal for 2007.. they had 5 cancelled races
and b-man also broke his wrist this summer (climbing a fence) which made us miss 3 more races..

I even contacted atco to see if we would still qualify for the banquet if we missed the race this last weekend, with no-reply
very disappointed..
:grr:

I'm sure you guys had a great turnout as always and we really wanted to go but you have to stick to your goal's which is what we did..

Sound's like dale did well and brandon really missed racing him
again and all of the other district 6 50's...

Stock to stock on the dyno the lc is just about 1hp better than the ac.
Put the high comp head on the lc its just about 1.5 hp better.
Cut the stock ac head(head mod) and they come within .5 hp
Port the ac and it moves in front by .7 or .8
Port the lc (mild) and it moves in front by 1hp

Best info of all
On a stock lc or ac when the stock clutches are modded the numbers are better than what I posted above, put the port with it and it works well

I think a bunch of you guys saw the # 40 quad run at engishtown last weekend.
Won the overall and pulled both holeshots
Thats a lc with what I just said only with a stock head

jerkyboy
11-14-2007, 03:12 PM
Yes the #40 did pull both holshots and seemed to be a
little better on bottom end but Dale #6 was faster on topend.
And also for the holshot Dale is late at the gate every time.
Also has to do with the rider as we all know. The kids all had fun
Thats what really counts.

Jim will Brandon be racing Atco on the 28th?
Hpoe to see ya there.

That's what we call sleeping on the gate, and my little guy has been a victim of that in the past... what we do is time the gate
from the race before us..

As for the last race of the year we will be there and should be a
great race.

Mx is all about fun I agree.
What I was saying is there is not much done to that quad and it runs really well.
I can look to be sure but around $550.00 is what he has in the engine/clutch.
Also I might add another kid had been on that quad and pulled both holeshots ,since he pick that up, it has done no worse than 2nd I think he said off the gate.
Again for under $600.00 in engine/clutch work

The question I would have is was your son sleepin on the gate or does the quad just not take off well.
Holeshot is everything there is a bunch of following in the little ones classes.
This father asked me for the holeshot because his is only 6.

Sleeping on the gate is his problem. I don't have much
money into this engine and I did the normal clutch mods.
Tried many different setups till I found 1 that worked well
with the way he rides.
