Couple Simple Questions.

ok,
1) What oil and oil filter should i use on my 06 400ex and how exactly do i change it? amsoil?

2) How do i tighten my chain?

3) How do i check my valves and how do i know i need to tighten or lossen them?

Pics would be nice.

Everything you asked can be answered in the "articles" section found at the top of the page. As far as oil just dont run an automotive synthetic, other than that, its up to how much you want to spend and how often you want to change oil. Amsoil 0w-40 seems to be popular in the atv motors.

synthetic is perfectly fine as long as it don't have "moly's" in it...

atvmaster i use honda 10w-40 cause thats there recommended oil and i assume they make good oil for there own machine and it hasnt failed me yet and i use a k&n filter with it. I'll show you nextime your over how to change the oil its real easy. I forgot exactly how to tighten the chain but it is in my owners manual so ill show you or john will. And i want to know the same thing you know with the valves

ok to tighten chain.
1. loosen the 4 bolts on the very end of the swinger.
2. once the 4 bolts are out you need 2 flat head screw drivers. insert them in the gashes cut in the left hand side of the carrier.
3. once they are in push them forward and see if it works.. if not you must pull back.
