Did anybody ever compare these two setupson the back of a 300?

From all the posts I've read it seems like the rear raptor shock & 400ex spring is going for around $200. The works rear shock is around $500. WORTH THE EXTRA $300???

The works rear 300ex shock only has adjustable preload. The raptor shock has adjustable preload and rebound dampning, and maybe something else i dont know about? You can send ur raptor shock to the quadshop or anyother shop and have the mac daddy kit installed and have it valved for your weight and 300ex to make it even better. I dont know much else about the works rear 300ex shock, never ridden one w/ it.

the raptor shock is still a stock shock. The works will prob. be a better shock, but like he said, u can get a conversion kit with the raptor shock. So its up to u, but if u were just going to leave them the way they are, i would go with works

Jeff,
When I go to a +4 swingarm what will need to be done to my rear shock?? Do I need to rebuild it or would it be best to get another shock?? I mostly drag race, but play ride too!!

Depends on how much you want to spend. We can revalve and respring your stock shock for cheaper or you can do a full aftermarket shock. The aftermarket will be better but the rebuilt stocker would work well too!

Jeff,

Thanks,
Chad

How do people like their raptor shock on their 300ex? I still havent gotten to try mine out yet, my a-arm is on backorder and my shocks are on their way to the quadshop. How does it feel compared to the stock 300ex shock? What adjustments have u made and how did u like it? Thanx for info, im anxious to see how it performs
