I wanna see who all owns imports on this site. I dont care if its european or Japanese i just want to see what all you guys have. I have a 1997 Acura Integra RS coupe. So far i have 2 1/2 in diameter exhaust tubing with a hi-flow cat and a skunk2 muffler with a 4" tip. I did 2 and a half inch diameter instead of 2 and a quarter that way when you have to make a bend it wont shrink to 2" and slow my exhaust flow down as much. I have big plans for it later on when i get some more money. Well lets see those imports!

p.s I will post the picture of my integra later... i cant get the pic i have now to load on here

I don't, but alot of my buddies do. Friend chris has a sil80 that's fast as hell, buddy john has a 240 with a sr20 swap, buddy logan has an 11 sec hatch in progress, and a 9 sec 1993 rx7 in progress. Ryan has a type R that's gonna be making from 500-600 hp when done. And a guy barry i know has a 3 rotor rx7. These are all close friends that i know, and i go out with them alot. I plan on getting an rx7 when i get outta college, we'll see what happens

no imports for me i was thinking about getting one for gas mileage but i saw taht dodge put the 2.4 thats in the evos in the caliber srt4 and it has a better 0-60 time than the wrx with fwd instead of awd and it gets 21mpg city

lol Most of the imports are built here. I was reading an article in a Motor Trend magazine and Nissan, Honda, and Toyota are considered domestics, since over 75% of the car is built in the US. While GM, and Ford are now considered imports.

And alot of eclipses are rear wheel drive. The gsx's come awd which means the rear tires are moving them. Most people dont realize that the eclipse they see could be rear wheel drive.

I have a 93 240sx Coupe. It's mostly stock right now. Autotragic. It's a corrolation of 2 93's and an 89 front end.

The parts I HAVE, that need to be put on:
AMS Rebuild kit (with forged low compression pistons, rods good up to 550whp, OEM timing set, ARP main/rod/head studs and various other goodies)
5 lug conversion/Wheels, bigger brakes, Eibach springs, 2.5inch catback, LSD, 5 speed conversion, blow-off valve, wastegate, intercooler and piping, maybe some more stuff.

Some of that will only be put on once I get the:
Tokico Blues, T3/T4 turbo, manifold, injectors, fuel and timing control, loads of gauges.

It'll also be getting a cage.

I AM NOT GOING TO DRIFT WITH THIS CAR. Besides the occasional work parking lot slide-around.

My main focus is Drag Racing. Only shooting for about 350whp, and a mid 12 second daily driver.

I like your style :cool: I sold my 97 GSR a while back ago but am in the market for another one. Mine was lowered a bit with some 17's, had tinted windows, swapped ECU, full exhaust and a few other mods. Ran great and looked very tasteful in my opinion.

their handle great their imports and their fast also i belive like 150hp stock on a gsr which is good out of a 4 banger and their easy to mod there are tons of parts for them and their cheap with a bolt on turbo you can get like 200+ on low psi

its just the tip itself that is 4". the tubing inside of it is 2.25". and my whole exhaust system is 2.5" too that way in the bends it shrinks down to 2.25". read before you post. i didnt ask for your opinion on ricers either.;)

Thanks, I just added a full skunk2 catback to mine, but other than that it's stock for now. I think I got a steal on my GSR though, it's a 94, mint paint, with 85k for $4000.

Found a body kit I like. Going to buy this kit monday or tuesday. Basicaly how my car will look since its silver like mine and has big silver rims like mine and a black spoiler. Just going to have the kit painted silver to mach for a few hundred. Might buy 2 front vented side panels to since my left panel is dented.

It had a 1.6 diesel under the hood for the first 25 years of its life. I put a turbo set up on the diesel and blew it up in a cupple months. got bored of it.

last week I put this engine in it. 2L 16v. has potential. puts out about 120 hp mabie. No less than 110 anyways.. Goes alright in a car that weighs under 2k lbs.

Rice, is not a word confined to imports either. I've seen some hilarious **** on american cars, lol. I like both imports and domestics, some of each flavor, but I have a certain dislikes from each category as well.

i know what you mean...i seen a camaro the other day with 24's on it and it had a big 24 in the back window. :huh. i think the thing had more ground clearance than some pick ups. I hate it when you see people that take their v6 mustangs and put GT hoods on them and they think they are so much faster just because of their hood too.:scary:

99-00 mustang GT's have a v6 hood 01-04 GT's have the fake scoop on the hood, and some v6's did come from the factory with the scoops on the side and hood.

It's interesting to read these posts as they really are full of more misinformation than fact.

I have, in my younger days, owned some seriously fast cars. Mostly sleepers as they are the ones that get the most looks.

Most fun was a bone stock looking 1986 Porsche 944. Huntley racing replaced anything that could be replaced or made lighter, beefed up the drivetrain and did motor and turbo work that dialed in equaled 465 RWHP and 410 LB/FT of torque. It was scary fast but man, wether it was an import or domestic, most were not ready for that action.

The best overall car, speed, handling, everything, was a 2004 Corvette ZO-6. My father in law has been building race cars since the 60's through today (INDY Cars are his specialty) and he took the body off the Z06, hand built a carbon/kevlar body, stripped out all things not needed to go fast and did a little breathing on the motor to 500hp in as light of a Vette you have ever seen. Top speed was an aero safe 215 and it could pull 1.02 G-s with little suspension modification. It was a marvel to drive on the track...street legal too. Too bad it was destroyed in testing by a newer driver, but still, it's racing.

I think though, that people should all just understand that some like foregin, some domestic.

Me personally, I like the sleeper, understated as when I see a neon colored and adorned car, with a uselessly loud ehaust they need to constantly rev in a parking garage with the tall wing (All body cladding on these things are useless and hurt performance as you never see such things on true racers) that adds more to drag and weight than it aids in downforce. It's my preference but I like a car that looks good, sounds good but doesn't shout...."HEY COPPER, I'M OVER HERE!!!!"

me to i hate that fart can sound on a car and i hate all those decals and stuff i just like a nice slick looking car with a nice set of 19 - 20 inch rims and a nice exhaust system that really makes a statement(good not bad)

i know this... im saying that there are v6 stangs around here that came with the stock smaller hood scoop and swapped out for a Newer bigger GT hood. the 99 and 2000 GT's pretty much look the same as the V6's except for a few things but the mustang im talking about is a 2004.

Well, if someone wants to make their car look "faster" than it is, so be it.....doesn't hurt anyone so long as they are not acting like their car is as fast as a Honda Powered G-Force Indy Car. It's like the guy that has the 300c with 22's all dialed in...he get's ticked because someone spent $8,000 less than he did on a base model and has the same 22's and few can tell them apart. Is the guy wrong for having the V-6 and a nice looking car even if he doesn't need to haul ***???

2 of the best sleeper Stangs I have seen, one was an old LX they dropped a well built SVO turbo 4 banger (Remember those?) and they did all the light weight stuff to it but gave it a plain look....till they hit the go pedal....it was fun to watch. The other was my buddy had a 1997 V-6, no visual changes aside from rims and tires. Threw a twin turbo at that 6 along with a gaggle of internal and tranny mods with a healthy but quiet exhaust. Even made sure the intercooler inlets were as stock looking as possible...you could dial up about 400hp and with the susupension mods and lighter weight of the V-6, that thing not only could light it up, but it handled much better than the GT's and Cobras.

In the end it's whatever floats your boat. There is nothing wrong with your vision, it just probably won't please everyone, and that's ok.

And for what it's worth, I have seen many people around So-Cal move away from the loud coffee can exhausts to ones that work more on good healthy sound.....I think the tickets for noise and attraction to them speeding finally got into thier heads.

Heres a real rice burner literally smokes the ricers.

My rice car is going to be burning some rice now :D Just paid for a full race exhaust. No cat only test pipe. Going to here me over a mile away :cool: Paid for some side panels and some lights and body kit. I'll post up some pics of it finished in another 4-5 weeks.

Body kit looks good. Exhaust sounds good on eclipses too, my friend has one and its not ricey at all.
