AMA/ATVA sanctioned races have a minimum age of 16. Non-sanctioned races can/will be different. As an example, here in Southern Ohio, we are Disttrict 11 which is AMA/ATVA sanctioned and you do have to be 16 to race, but in Northern Ohio there is a series called the CRA that lets kids younger than 16 race in the full size classes because it is not an AMA/ATVA sanctioned series.

I know for the new GNC Schedual they are allows kids 12 and over to race 200 2-stroke and 300 4-stroke classes, But the rules may be different for the GNCC format. At a local race you should be able to race those 2 classes at the age of 12 and older.

brazilian, harescramble is the term used for local and district races of the same style as the Grand National Cross Country series. The AMA also has a National Harescramble series that is bikes only and a few of the GNCC races count for both series (again bikes only). Essentially, the course is 2-10 miles long (depending on series and track) covering natural terrain, usually wooded, consisting of tight trails and natural obstacles such as creek crossings, fallen trees, mud holes, etc... Some courses will also incorporate portions of a motocross track if the host facility has one. The races generally are time based, i.e. 2 hours for the GNCC series. First one to the finish with the most laps wins. Essentially, it is like trail riding on crack!

Yeah me too. It seems like everyone left from their but I check the posts once a day just to see if anything is new. I like these posts much better. The only thing that was nicer about the other fourms is the responses were strieght answers. Like today I wrote a post in here somewhere asking a question and someone said "I have no idea" lol thats not gonna help me. O well.
KEEP POSTING!

Even though I am not from Pennsylvania... I go to some XC races in Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Flying Dutchman... Pine Grove, PA.
Rausch Creek....... Tremont / Tower City??, PA.

Budds Creek........ Leonardstown, MD.
Hagerstown......... Hagerstown, MD.

There are other places in the area that have XC races too!:)

Hare scrambles are for all ages. The have races for quads and motorcycles. The young kids usually go early in the day, then the quads go in the afternoon, and then the motorcycles go after that... At times.

If you are under 16 years old, there is a certain cc (motorcycle, or atv) you can race.

You can be from a different state and race. Normally, registration for a District is under $10 for the year. American Motorcycle Association (AMA) membership is also usually required to race these events.

Good luck!:)
