E-series discs I am a little confused

Ok Ok for the discs is it add more=less noise, take some off= more power. How would 2 discs and a turndown end cap soud for a 300ex(not the actualy sound but how would it work?) Also i would be getting the headpipe and K&N and probally run no airbox lid. how much ponies should i excpect? thanks

If you run a turned down end cap, the discs would be worthless. The discs only work with the solid endcap on. They prevent sparks from leaving the tailpipe. Now, if you add more discs, then you are increasing the effective opening of the exhaust outlet size. More discs, more power but less backpressure. I would follow the MFG. suggested amount based on your mods. Call White Bros. and ask them.

so turn down end cap no discs and regular like 8 discs?

I'm not sure on your 300. I would definately leave the end cap on and then add/remove discs to your preference. You may want to call WB to get a good idea of where to start.
