2002 400 EX $1500 in Cleveland, OH

2002 400 EX. Engine has a tick and smokes a little. The ticking goes away after warmed up. I am not sure what the problem is. Has new Honda red plastics w/ 2 rides. 95% tread on 4 Kenda Klaws. All stock. Have Ohio title, but not in my name.

what do you mean by a tick in the motor?

The tick sounds like a valve to me, but I am not a mechanic.

This is a perfect candidate for a big bore kit. The ticking noise goes away after the motor is warmed up. It runs great and starts right up.
