That wire will just tap into the wire that powers you taillight/running light and you done, if you have a test light unscrew you taillight and have some one step in the brake pedal this will show you the lead you need to tap into.

If you have any mechanic friend and they have Mitchell online they can look up the wiring schematic for that truck.

ok i figured out the 2 wires one for park lights and one for brake but the problem now is the 4 way connector only has one wire for both the park and brake, is there somewhere they connect to make one wire? thanks

Which 450?

There should be 4 wires, a left turn/stop, right turn/stop, running/marker lights, and a ground....

ya i know that im trying to figure out what wire i need to splice for the runningand brake lights, under the truck the brake lights is a green wire with white tracer, and the park lights is a solid green wire, and theres and theres 4 wires left a red with black tracer, green with yellow tracer, green with black tracer, and white with black tracer, i need the brown wire on my harness to hook some where to where i would have park and brake lights running through the wire??? haha any of this make sense

Make sure you don't fiddle around with it too much. You don't want to short anything out.

You can buy a connector that simply plugs up between an existing connection in the wiring harness and it makes life a whole lot simplier. Then you dont have butchered wires under your truck.

Yes they do. I have a '92 Toyota at home with one on it, I'll bet they make them for everything newer. Got it at Advance Auto.

Go to PeP Boys, thats where I work, and I for one know that they make Kits for 79 and newer everything, and if for some reason there isnt, we can look it up on the computer, Otherwise, go to UHAUL, they have everything, thats where I got it for my Silverado, It hooks right in, and has, 4 and 8 connectors, that was only 26.95..
