I just ordered a big gun race series exhaust for my 300ex. After i install it is there anything I need to change or tune in the engine. What about re-jetting? is anything else necessary?

u DO need to re-jet, i'd advise about 10 sizes bigger in main jet size, but im not sure on pilot jet. I put a 135 in mine with K&N, and i had a 125 stock! It runs good but fouls a plug about every 2 months. I thinks its kinda good though running so rich.

I'd say go up 5 on the main jet if you don't have any intake mods. But i'm not sure on that.

rejetting a carb is not hard,,,making sure the carb is jetted with the correct jets is the hard part. It's a time consuming process. you start with a jet and run the bike,,if it runs like crap you change the jet,,if it runs like crap you change the jet,,keep doin this till it runs with out backfiring,,bogging etc.. My suggestion is if you got the money take it to have ti done,,might cost ya $50 at a dealer,,1 hour labor,,reason I say this..If you jet your bike wrong you can damage your motor,,and you don't want that. If you have patiance then you can do it..but it hardly ever works out that you put the first jet in and it runs great..:(
