I was thinking about painting my 400ex rims. Is this a bad idea? And my 400ex is runnin rich....how should i fix this?

x2.. i have a buddy who paints RV's full time and they give him booth tme every now and then so he did his wheels and they looked great!!... then he rode it lol. about a month later they needed to be redone. in other words once a month he paints these things. he keeps telling me hes gonna do pc.. hes dumb for not trying it first like i told him.

bad idea to powder coat rims though. from what i have seen it bakes to hot and it can bend the wheel since they are just aluminum

The heat shouldnt affect your wheels at all since it only bakes at 400 degrees. Powder coat is the way to go.

Where is it running rich at? Idle, midrang, topend?

shouldnt but can. i have a set in my shop that it affected bad

How hot did they bake at? I powder coat aluminum everyday at 400 Degrees and have never had a problem.

when im riding and go to get on the gas to go..it smokes black smoke..

Sounds like its "loading up" on the low end. What pilot jet are you running. You might need to go down a size and lower your needle one clip position.

idk what size it is.....my brother does all the work...but i'll ask him...it runs great....its just running rich and everybody i talked to said it just needs adjusting....
