Hey i just got the new ATV Sport Mag (November 2002) and they did an article on a new quad called the w-tec eraser. i was wondering if anyone had come across this and what are your comments on it. heres a few things about it...
* The plastics and whole body design is very ugly, kind of resemples the quadzilla
* It has dual rear suspension not fully independent though.
* It doesn't have a arms...it has individual pushed swingarms with racking adjustments in the front. In the rear it has a dual shock swing arm.
* It can fit any engine because it has diferent engine cradles. the one in the article has a husaberg 650 engine in it but they will put whatever engine you want in it
* It hasa diferent type of stearing stem. in the rear it has a dual shock swing arm
* Cycle barn carries it, but its made in the netherlands

It is ugly as ****. I bet it handles like crap too. The KTM or Husaberg engines sound nice though.

Yes its ugly, but its a very populair atv here in the Netherlands and whole Europe. It drives pretty good :) You'll see it at pont du vaux. VLS is its competitor:

actually they say that front suspension performs better than the conventional A arm design. It may be ugly, but im sure if it was sold here, id say there would be alot of people worshipping them because they out perform our's. i heard u can special order them, but for just the chassis its like 10 grand.

The idea for the front-end is genius, but it isn't the nicest looking thing ever, but its not the ugliest. Anyone remember gas-gas' first quad that looked like a nose?? Yeah that was even uglier. Anyways that w-tec beat a DS 650 baja in a shootout like less than a year ago. And yes they are very expensive. There is also one in front of the pack on one of the huevos videos.

OMG, this thread is so old. The new W-tec is definitely easier on the eye, but that swingarm just looks all wrong.

It seems like the bottom rear shocks mounts would be prone to breaking? I definately dont think the rear design would be as strong as the conventional design. I dont know what to think about that front end... I guess I would have to try and see. Anybody got one they want to lend to me?

They make the front like this for years now, so I think it works good. The Erasers (new model) are winning every contest in the Netherlands and Belgium. So it must be pretty good :)
