Crank spacer?

My manual refers to a crank spacer on the right sid eof the crank. After pulling down the bottom end to find its a hot rods crank I dont see this spacer. I am now putting a stock crank in. What is this piece that the manual is refering to? Any help thanks

The manual is a little misleading on this. The spacer that it is referring to does not go in between the crank and the inner case.

It slides over the crank end after the cases are together and pushes down inside the crankcase seal from the outside.

Not a detailed description but if you look close you will see what I am talking about.
