ok well me and my dad went out the other moring and bagged this bird i thought it was a female ringneck but im having doubts now i think its a female tufted what do u guys think? whats throwing me off is theres no white ring around eye and no little line. also has a yellow eye and seems to be darker in color and the bill is black with alittle bit of blue on the sides. the wings look almonst ike a female blue wing teal with the blue patch and a little bit of green

It's kinda hard to tell from the pics and down here in Md we do not get many ringnecks (i've never seen one). Just going on your discription it resembles a female bluebill (lesser scaup)

its deff not a female mallard guys...i no that for A FACT. ive shot hundreds of mallards.its either a immature female ringneck or a female tufted

how late is season did you shoot it and where at? cuz it kinda looks like a widgeon. no offense but the pics are kinda hard to see. maybe put one on here of the thing on its stomach with wings spread.

almonst all the way threw the first part. i live and shot the duck in hudson NH. its not a wigeon either. i no its either a immature female ringneck or a female tufted. whats throwing me off is the yellow eye because the female ringneck dosent have a yellow eye, its brown and a tufted does however here in nh it would be REALLY REALLY RARE for a tufted. but i guess its possible. and i cant spread the wings or anything....its in my freezer now...going to get it mounted but i want to be sure i no what kind of duck it is first so i dont look stupid to going to the taxidermist.
