I Just got brand new ac blackline nerfs in silver with the removable propegs. I got them for my 86 trx250r and the part numbers check out. I cant even install them, they are off by over an inch in the front and are so deformed plus they didnt even come with all the mounting pieces. Im going to post pics shortly to show how off they are..Has anybody had any problems with AC before? I cannot believe these past inspection if there is even an inspection. Anyone have mounting issues with ac nerfs before?

i bought some used a/c propegs and they were off some but the bar that slides through the frame was bent a little bit so it was off some. I straightened it back out and it works fine

ac has a reputation for not fitting well at all. also "blackline" nerfs are the nerfs that are powercoated black. Those are not powercoated black and are not blackline nerfs

I have that exact set on my 88' R. There were off by about an 1" I had to bend them into place. Absolutely horrible mounting.
They are the blackline nerfs, the Powdercoated black ones are the exact same as the ones you have there.
Might need to use some ratcheting tie downs to install them

hmm well never even knew they came in aluminum finish or there was a difference between blackline and normal ones.
If the part #'s match just bend them some and force them on there. Then they will be a tight fit at least
For one, they are bent to hell and back, that left side one looks bent pretty bad
