The bolts that tighten down the carrier won't stay tight. We rode around 26 miles yesterday and I had to retighten them 5 times. They keep backing out. I already had to replace one of the bolts and one of the brackets they screw into. I dont really wont to use locktite on them, since you have to loosen them to adjust the chain. Does anyone know the torque specs? Maybe I'm not tightening them enough. I've had my Z for over a year and have never had this problem before.

I have had issues with them stripping so I decided to get a cheapo torque wrench. Since then I 've had no problems. Torque is about 75lbs/ft

You can buy the parts from your dealer but I wouldn't. Take the bolts and plate to a hardware store and find hardened grade 8 bolts and nuts. Cut the old nuts off the plate and weld the new better hardware on. Never have this problem show up again,

the torque bolts have/should be done in a certain way for the kfx/dvx/ltz the left side should be torqued down to 72.5 lb-ft and the right side should be torqued down to 53.0 lb-ft. when torquing them down you start with them all snug (not torqued yet) then you torque the upper left side, then the lower left, then the upper right, then the lower right. i usto not think that was a big deal but when the chain kept comming loose and i broke a bearing carrier, i later found out that was a key thing to do was torque them down that certain way at those certain specs.
