View Full Version : Needed.. tie rod jam nuts..

bought a set off ebay and they dont fit.. was told they are oem.. I thought maybe the tierods were thicker but called laeger and they said they are oem size.

Anyway Im in need of a set of these nuts before i go nuts..

I agree with Swigin, service honda lists them for around $2 apiece. It's cheaper to buy them from a dealer and not have to pay shipping.

You can verify the thread size/pitch on your tie rods by screwing them into the the tie rod ends. Obviously, if they match they're definitely stock Honda threads so stock jam nuts will work.

Its either this one or the other 12mm nut with a different pitch (http://www.mcmaster.com/#91415a125/=6w2dyj). I just ordered the M12x1.75 and the threads are too coarse. If you go this route you'll have some extra hardware down the road when the finish begins to go

edit: anyone know whether its the 1.5 pitch or the 1.25?

they are 12mm1.25 nuts. One side is right hand thread and other side is left hand thread.
