Nice pics! One of the best upgrades you can get for it is the VM26mm carburator. It was like adding a pipe to Jams bike and gave it power from bottom all the way to the top. Also, the camber/caster is off from the dealer. I readjusted them once I got the bike here.

At the bottom of the steering stem, there is a set screw, back it out and put lock-tite on it.Josh,s was loose as a goose when i came across it.Could have been bad news.
Also the two allen head screws where the tie rod make up to the hub.
The nerfs and bumper is not a bad decision either.Greg

Also, the throttle is pretty stiff. Take the carb off, unscrew the throttle cap off of the carb and cut the spring. I cut about 5 coils off and it made it much softer and wasn't giving Jam thumb pump. If you get aVM26 you'll have to do the same.

If you find the throttle cable is binding, cut the zip ties and free it up.When i changed Josh,s handle bars i realized that it had been binding.
I found that a throttle assembly from a 250,300 ex Honda will work.Greg

Wow!! thanks guys. my son really enjoys this atv. the dealer told me about the two allen screws under the tie rod. im going to give the bike a total look through. did anyone have any trouble with it wanting to die all the time? the first day it died about ten times,on sunday i went to work and the wife took him out and she said it died maybe thirty times, usually when he was turning. would the throttle cable make it do that? any help would be great. thanks

Is it dieing on power or off power in the corners? The 4 stroke motor may be tight and will do better as it breaks in.Josh,s bike stalls at times , i have had to idle it up a bit. There is a screw on the side of the carb that raises the slide up and down.It is on the primary side (kick starter) and is right there,to the right idles it up,left is down. Give me a minute and i will get you a picture. Also after a bit of riding,(10 hrs) take it to the shop to check the valves and compression ,they will need to be adjusted. That can be a warranty issue if your dealer -mechanic plays his cards right. One reason it may stall is the lack of compression(valve adjustment) and that is very much a warranty issue.Greg

its kind of hard to determine right now. i'll now more this weekend. it seemed to be really tight corners at full lock to the right or left.im just trying to find a quick fix. ive got no problems taking it back to the dealer. Guy Cooper endorses these bikes and he has a track in stillwater ok. the shop seems to be on the level. i poked and proded every wire while it was running on the stand tonite and couldnt get it to die. i thought it was a electical problem ,but i might be wrong. i dont think its a carb problem. it would sputter then die if it was that. but after it dies it starts right back up. i boughyt it from stillwaterxtreme. thanks

Take it back to where you got it from and let it be there problem. If it is stalling like the switch being turned off and not a stumble it is prob electrical.
Could be in the switch at the top of the steering stem.
But besides the symptoms, you have a problem with it ,and you are standing on the promise of full parts and labor for 6 months here .I am sure it will be resolved,by them.
Keep us posted. Greg

i called the dealer. he said try raising the idle a little bit. most of the ones he gets he has to raise them a little and he wasnt there the day i bought mine. he also said he has never really had any problems with electrical stuff. he said if that didnt work, to bring it in and he would fix it right. i'll know more this weekend. i'll let you guys know.
