Don't know much at all about truck stereos but I should be getting a red cab F150 soon and want to know what stereo I should get. My friend has a Reg cab chevy and has 1 10" sub and sounds pretty good.

Should I get 2 10 inch subs? 1 12 inch or what?

Also whats a good brand? I don't want to spend alot. and don't have to have the best. All i really want is a nice sub/subs for some extra bass.

correction jBl kills Jl....actually as far as subs goes stay away from pioneer....i work on this stuff every day and pioneer makes good amps and electronics but as far as speakers they're more of a mediocre brand. if your going for 10's go with rockford fosgate...the p3's are amazing for the money and their 10's in the built to spec boxes will blow away most average 12's

i prefer Kicker over all the mentioned but its just a preference. I have 1 audiobahn high excursion 12" sub. Sounds great, but it will be swapped out with 2 Kicker solo baric 10's or maybe 12's.

Also get on ebay and buy subs and such. No shop in the country will match ebay's prices. I bought my audiobahn sub that can handle 700watts RMS and peaks at 1400watts and payed $110 shipped for it

if you want a good sub that sounds good, get a Kicker comp CVR 12" sub with the silver aluminum center. You can get them really cheap off of ebay and they dont need much air space

* Frequency Response: 25-500
* Mounting Depth (in, cm) 6, 15.3

I'm gonna have to recommend crutchfield.com. They have amazing service and are usually putting out some good combo deals. def check them out

I have to agree with whoever said Rockford Fosgate. Killer quality for the price.

man sorry i didnt see this sooner but yes that box will work very well as its within the specs for the sub. You dont need a big powerful amp to run that sub, but get something that has like 400watts rms or so.

I have 2 Pioneers on an Alpine amp and they hit soooo hard. They blow away my buddies 12s. I believe mine are 8 or 10s, I have to check tomorrow. They sound soo clean too. I was surprised when I first cranked them up. I believe my power is coming from the box they are in though.
