serial numbers

I am looking for the serial numbers on my 400ex motor. Anyone know where they are. Are they different from the frame numbers?

the serial numbers for the engine are right under the shifter stamped onto a small flt pad, this would be on the left when sitting on your quad.And yes the frame vins are different from the engine vin numbers.
