im running without rear brakes and was going to buy ebay brakes but now im thinking about just buying Banshee axle and Carrier and brakes (my current axle is bad anyway) im looking at
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/YAMAH... 230185432604
then
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MEWA:IT&ih=015
then all i would have to weld would be tabs for ms and reservoir then i wouldnt have to worry about where to get pads at. would this bolt up to my swingarm and isnt the Banshee axle wider anyway. sounds like i would get more for my money. since blaster brakes cost just as much as this setup.

sorry i have a 99 blaster also my front arms bearings are shot on both sides and i have drum brakes. i wonder if i just change out to Banshee arms what years would bolt up if i was to buy arms spindles and brakes as a set. think this might work

i slightly modified a banshee swingarm so i can use the whole banshee assembly. Swinger+axle+brakes. Came out sweet, and wider

I am thinking of putting a banshee rear set up on davids 2002 blaster and would like to know what has to be modified to make it work?
Will the swing arm fit in the stock mount on the frame?
If not what has to be changed?
also the rear shock from either a banshee or 450?

I would also like to put wider front arms on it but do not want to pay for the over priced ones I have seen on ebay or trenga racing.that require thier exspensive shocks.

I see that you can buy banshee shocks at good prices used and the same for yzf450 shocks and swing arms.
there must be a way to make this stuff work on a blaster.
I am a good fabricator and am willing to cut and mod the frame to achive this for my son.

Any help here would be apreciated guys.
we had just bought new rims and tires for this blaster

so we would like to still beable to use them.do the blaster hubs fit the banshe rear end set up?

To get the banshee swinger to work, we had to cut out a section very precisely to fit on the engine. The stock banshee goes straight across, and doesnt connect to the motor, thats why.

I can help you with the shocks, because we used a stock blaster shock on the rear.

The blaster hubs WILL work on the banshee axle.

I wouldnt upgrade to banshee shocks, they are still really old.

With stock rims, your looking at about 2in wider on each side. With aftermarket rims, its way wide. Ill post pics of both. (the photo with the bald tires and aftermarket rear rims shows when we were almost done. We made a new shock mount thinking the stock shock mount wouldnt work on the banshee swinger, but it ends up it did.
